    John Smith
    or/ Jane Smith you only need one signature.

    if it reads…

    John Smith
    and Jane Smith both have to sign

  2. In Missouri both of the ” owners ” have to sign the title. Forging goes a long way in this state :)

  3. It depends the state you are in. Contact your local dmv and ask them.. but if your trying to sell the car behind some-1s back they can bring u into court and make you pay fo’ the price of the car. So your better off waiting fo’ them to sign the title over too.

  4. It depends on what is between the two names. “And” both must sign. “Or” either may sign.
